# Add games.

Press Add games and point Kiln at the games you already own. Kiln ships zero games and explains zero ways to get them.

## Facts (2026-10-13)

- **Button:** Add games (toolbar)
- **Source:** Games you already own
- **Ships with:** Zero games
- **Library:** 400+ titles listed in the app

## Add your library

1. Boot system software first — games launch from the booted state.

2. Press Add games in the toolbar and point Kiln at your library location.

3. Pick a title from the launcher strip and press Start. The selection bar shows the title, status, and lab note.

Keep the library on fast storage. NVMe is the lab standard — see [NVMe vs SATA](/versus/nvme-vs-sata).

## The ownership rule

Own the games you already have. Kiln runs your library; it does not provide one.

This page will not describe how to obtain games, copy discs, or find downloads. Those instructions do not exist here and never will.

Covers belong to their publishers and are shown only to identify the games. Full answer: [do I need the games](/pulse/do-i-need-ps5-games).

## Library notes

The launcher lists 400+ titles. Graded titles show Stable, Beta, or Test from [one reference rig](/lab/reference-rig).

Start with a Stable title like [Astro Bot](/run/astro-bot-ps5-emulator) to confirm your setup before trying anything ambitious.

## FAQ

### Where do I get games for Kiln?

We do not answer that. Kiln runs games you already own and ships none. That is the entire policy.

### My game is not listed. Why?

The launcher lists 400+ titles, not every title ever made. Ungraded or unlisted titles may still boot — or may not. Test status means untested.

### Should games sit on NVMe or SATA?

NVMe. Load-heavy titles feel the difference immediately. See NVMe vs SATA for numbers.
