# Do I need the games.

Yes. Kiln ships zero games and explains zero ways to get them. You run the library you already own.

## Facts (2026-10-13)

- **Ships with:** Zero games
- **You supply:** Games you already own
- **Obtaining guides:** None — never
- **Covers:** Identify titles; belong to publishers

## Yes. That is the whole answer.

Kiln is a PlayStation 5 emulator for Windows PC. It is the player, not the library. The Windows installer ships zero games.

Own the games you already have. You point the launcher at your library with [Add games](/boot/add-ps5-games) and press Start.

## What this site will not tell you

How to obtain games. How to copy discs. Where downloads live. Those instructions do not exist here and never will.

No keys, no jailbreak talk, no grey-market guidance. The emulator is the product; your library is your business.

## Covers and the launcher

The launcher shows cover art to identify titles. Covers belong to their publishers — Kiln claims nothing over them.

400+ titles are listed in the app. Graded ones carry [Stable, Beta, or Test](/lab/how-we-grade) from one reference rig.

## FAQ

### Does Kiln come with games?

No. Zero games ship with Kiln. You run the games you already own.

### Where do I get games for Kiln?

We do not answer that. Kiln runs your library and describes no way to obtain games.

### Is using an emulator legal?

Emulators as software are a legitimate category; your obligations concern your firmware source and your games. Kiln requires official Sony firmware and games you own. Not legal advice — just the design.
