Boost fps.
The lab checklist for frames: right GPU, current driver, 1080p Performance preset, shader patience, NVMe, nothing else running.
One rig, blunt grades, no magic settings. Everything the lab knows about frames, settings, and statuses.

Kiln is a PlayStation 5 emulator for Windows PC, and the lab is how we stay honest: every grade comes from one reference rig running the Windows build.
No averaged hardware, no cherry-picked drivers, no sponsored numbers. One machine, one target — 1080p 60 fps — and a status per title.
The grading rules are public: how we grade. Read them before arguing with a Beta.
The reference rig is the machine behind every grade. Compare yours honestly.
Below lab class? Check the minimum rig for the floor and GPU and CPU for what actually matters.
One rig means comparable grades. Averaging ten PCs would make every number meaningless.
Sometimes, not always. Emulator paths bottleneck differently than native games — CPU-bound scenes may not scale with a bigger GPU.
Boost fps first, then best settings. Nine times out of ten it is the wrong GPU, an old driver, or first-launch shaders.
The lab checklist for frames: right GPU, current driver, 1080p Performance preset, shader patience, NVMe, nothing else running.
No magic config. The lab baseline: 1080p, Performance preset, discrete GPU, VSync off, game on NVMe.
One PC grades everything: 8-core CPU, RTX 3070, 32 GB RAM, NVMe, Windows 11. Every status on the roster comes from this machine.
Stable finishes. Beta plays with issues. Test waits its turn. Every grade is a real session on the reference rig with a public note.
